Caregiver Guidance: Supporting Your Family’s Grief through the Winter & Holidays
This FREE 1-hour webinar is for parents/guardians and other adult caregivers supporting youth who are grieving. Join us for practical tools that focus on fostering family connection and creating meaningful spaces for both grief and joy this season.
Experiencing grief during the holidays can make what is supposed to be the most wonderful time of the year feel like the most dreadful time of the year. The darkness of the short winter days, the stress of preparing for a season of family togetherness, and the attempts to find balance between important family traditions and new ways of moving through the holiday season often dim the lights on all the sparkle, merriment, and joy. You are not alone.
This season, let us take a moment to pause and prepare. Join us for a 1-hour workshop to learn how you, as caregivers, can light the way through this holiday season. We will talk about the importance of setting realistic expectations and developing a plan that creates space for both grief and joy. We will share some specific ways to focus on your family, foster opportunities to support one another, and honor and remember, together.
This opportunity is funded in part by The Cigna Group Foundation, a private foundation that supports organizations sharing its commitment to improve the health and vitality of individuals and the communities. The views presented here are those of the author and not necessarily those of The Cigna Group Foundation or its directors, officers, or staff.
In addition, on Thursday, November 20th, Children’s Grief Awareness Day, come together for the 3rd Annual Camp Erin® National Luminary Ceremony, a guided remembrance to honor those in our lives who have died.
