Stories from Eluna’s community, content, and more.

Let’s Make It a Better World Together

It’s easy to get caught up, or rather brought down, by the sobering news stories that flash across our screens and make us lose track of what’s important in this world.

With the holidays just around the corner, we invite you to share in a powerful story of resilience fueled by hope bubbling beneath the surface, waiting to blossom. This hope that so many of us share has inspired donors to reach out and support Eluna, pledging to build a better world for our children.

Kyle and Kayla are the youngest siblings in a loving family from New Hampshire and have been directly impacted by the devastation of the opioid crisis. Their mother Barbara lost two brothers to the disease of addiction and then two of her children, Kayla and Kyle’s elder siblings, to the disease as well. Just try to imagine that for a second. Their incredible mother, Barbara, determined to save her remaining children from this devastating disease, sought out a solution to save their lives – turning to Camp Mariposa New Hampshire, part of the Eluna network.

Over and over, Kyle and Kayla’s camp experiences helped them come out of their shells, connect with other campers in a trustworthy community, understand their own value and purpose in the world, and gain confidence and resilience in their own lives. Barbara has witnessed the incredible changes in her children first hand. Where they were shy, they are now confident. Where they were scarred, they have begun healing. Where they were troubled, they’ve found a Better World.

Camp Mariposa and Eluna, in partnership with the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Nashua, have given Kyle and Kayla the spirit of childhood again, and the futures they might otherwise simply not have known.  As their mother Barbara eloquently put it, “Life doesn’t have to be devastating anymore. There can be happiness”.

Right now, a gift from you can help Eluna bring more of what’s beautiful and possible to children across the country, so that they can find their own way to the Better World that Kyle and Kayla have found.

There is no amount of gratitude that suffices when you help a child find hope again. So, we will simply say thank you —for all your help this year, from Kyle, Kayla, and all the children and campers who have benefitted from what your generosity helps Eluna provide.
