Bert Lundh (1927-2019)

Eluna Board Emeritus

Bert Lundh joined Eluna Board in 2012. Bert emigrated from Landskrona, Sweden in the late 1940s, arriving in the Unites States in time to be called into service for the Korean War and was honored as Ambassador for Peace in 2015. After his service, he was a fisherman in Alaska and created his own construction company. He currently owns the Porcelain Gallery in Magnolia. He has been actively involved with the Northwest Kidney Center since 2002 and received their highest award of recognition. Lundh joined the Board of Trustees for the Nordic Heritage Museum when it opened in 1980 and served as the President for 10-years. Bert also dedicates his time to the Swedish Club and has been a member since 1949. In 1960, he helped to build the Swedish Pavilion for Swedish Dignitaries at the Seattle’s World Fair and received a high honor of recognition from the King of Sweden. Bert was President of the Seattle Millionaire Club Charity in 1970 and was instrumental in a significant renovation to add 10,000 square feet of housing for families who are homeless.
