My family’s grief journey began on October 28, 2017, the day my husband Ted died of unexplained causes, just 2 days shy of my 48th Birthday. He was 51. My sons Noah and Aaron were 8 and 11.
Losing someone you love is one of the most difficult experiences one can go through, and there are no words to adequately describe the enormous sense of sadness that one feels at the very thought of not seeing them again. You feel numb and as if your heart is broken into a million pieces. The reality that nothing will ever be the same, and that the known is gone forever, cuts through your heart like a knife. What will you do now?
