The first ever Camp Erin Western Kentucky hosted 36 campers in August at Gasper River Catholic Youth Camp & Retreat Center in partnership with Hospice of Western Kentucky. The demand for the weekend program was substantial and additional slots were added when the camp quickly met its initial registration cap of 30 youth. Kentucky ranks fourth in the country for children who have experienced a death of a parent or sibling before turning 18 according to a nationwide study by Judi’s House. Eluna is excited about the launch of Camp Erin Western Kentucky and looks forward to continuing to address the need for children’s bereavement services in the region.
