The New York Times’ Summer Reading Contest invites middle and high school students to share what they are reading (from articles published on NYTimes.com) and what about the work resonated with them. Week 8’s winner, Samya Madhukar, responded to an Op-Doc video called “At ‘Grief Camp,’ Kids Learn to Process Loss Together” and wrote about her own experience with grief and her time at Camp Erin.
