Partnering to support youth and families who are grieving

Celebrating 15+ Years of Impact

Since 2008, Eluna and the New York Life Foundation have partnered to help youth and families impacted by grief. As a leader in childhood bereavement support, the New York Life Foundation has invested deeply in Eluna, helping to establish Camp Erin as the largest network of grief camps. Eluna's National Program Guide

Visit Eluna’s online directory of grief and addiction prevention programs to create, save, and share a full list of local program referrals. Search by location, keyword, type of support, and age for resources tailored to your needs. Eluna is proud to partner with the New York Life Foundation to provide grief support program listings in the National Program Guide.

Launched in 2012

Created in partnership with the New York Life Foundation, the National Program Guide began as the National Bereavement Resource Guide (NBRG), a directory connecting individuals and families with grief support programs nationwide.

Enhanced in 2022

With continued support from the New York Life Foundation, Eluna transitioned the guide to a fully digital, zip code-searchable platform, making it easier for users to access local grief resources online.

Expanded in 2025

Eluna launched the National Program Guide as a comprehensive online directory featuring both grief and addiction prevention programs, with enhanced tools to search, save, and share tailored referrals.

Bereavement Camp Standards of Practice

In 2015, with the New York Life Foundation’s support, Eluna led the response to fill a gap in field best practices by developing the Bereavement Camp Standards of Practice (Standards). The Standards provide comprehensive recommendations for implementing beneficial, safe, and successful bereavement camp experiences. They are used by bereavement programs across the U.S. and internationally to develop and enhance grief camp programs.

Eluna’s Standards Committee of bereavement and camp professionals convenes on a regular basis to review, revise, and provide a resource that reflects the current needs of the bereavement field and program participants.
