What They Do:
There are two clinical streams that enable us to provide Clinical Care to children and families, namely our Quick Response Program and our Bereavement Support program.
Their special group events bring together children and families, giving them an opportunity to meet others and to know they are not alone. They also help parents and caregivers find other programs and services that will offer additional support and information.
What else do they do?
As leaders in the field of children’s grief and palliative care, they help increase the community’s capacity of responding to the unique needs of grieving children.
They also have an affiliation with the University of Toronto, the University of Guelph and the Hospital for Sick Children and have collaborated with them on small research studies. Their goal is to expand our research initiatives.
Who do they Serve?
Referrals are generated by a wide range of hospital and community agencies. They work with children of all ages, from infants to young adults and their families. Whether in home or in the hospital, the team works with everyone involved in the child’s community
