Kooth – Therapeutic Support for Students

Created by: Kooth

Mental Health

a young adult on their laptopKooth is an online platform providing mental health support to middle and high school students within the Philadelphia school system – free of charge and provided in partnership with the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services.

The site is confidential – and helps students to feel safe and confident in exploring their concerns and seeking professional support. The Kooth platform is unique in that it works with young people who may need advice, more ongoing help, or immediate risk support.

Their platform has been designed specifically for young people. The live counseling functionality allows students to receive professional support through text-based chat as and when a session is required. Qualified practitioners are real people, not bots, with significant experience in working with children and young people. Kooth also offers self-help tools such as journaling and goal setting, as well as articles and peer-support forums.

There’s no thresholds to joining or referrals needed, as long as the user is in grades 6-12 within the Philadelphia School System. Simply sign up at us.kooth.com.
