The Adolescent Brain and Substance Use

Understanding Addiction

The National Institude of Health’s (NIH) National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) created an online destination to learn more about substance use, its impacts on the brain and how it can lead to substance use disorder. The website dispels myths about addiction and provides scientific information in a language that is understandable.

We like this destination for teens, parents and teachers and who want to learn more about substance use and addiction’s impact on the brain.
