Whatcom Hospice offers bereavement services for the whole family including a grief camp and short-term grief support for children and teens. These services are available for Whatcom Hospice patients, loved ones, and the broader community.

Bereavement services at Whatcom Hospice:

  • Care for the entire family: Bereavement specialists provide care for Whatcom patients, family members and the community — including children and teens. They work to ease grief and help all involved move forward in a positive way.
  • Camp Kaleidoscope: A FREE weekend sleepover camp for children ages 6-12 grieving the death of a significant person in their life. Campers will experience a weekend that combines grief education and emotional support with fun and traditional camp activities. Led by bereavement professionals and trained volunteers, campers are provided a safe environment to explore their grief, learn essential coping skills and make friends with peers who are also grieving.
