Andrew Grant represents emerging growth and established companies in the outdoor, software (including technology services and software as a service), entertainment, interactive entertainment and retail industries, counseling them on the implementation of their day-to-day and long-term business strategies.

Specific areas of his practice include foreign and domestic manufacturing, product design, development and distribution, platform implementation, technology and intellectual property protection, licensing and commercialization, open-source software, digital media, entertainment, advertising, promotions and marketing law and strategic transactions.

Andrew represents outdoor brands and retailers including Eddie Bauer, REI, Coolest Cooler and Coros Wearables. He counsels outdoor clients in connection with product development, manufacturing and distribution, product and service commercialization, OEM transactions, technology licensing, Internet of Things (IoT) issues and strategy, digital media and advertising, promotions and marketing issues. Andrew’s clients in the interactive entertainment arena encompass the full range of participants in the industry, including publishers, developers, distributors, social networks, hardware manufacturers and various game-enhancement service providers. Representative clients include Oculus VR, Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc., Microsoft Game Studios, Amazon Game Studios, CloakWorks, Inc., Xreal, LLC and Twitch, LLC. Along with advising and counseling his clients in their transactions with other industry participants, Andrew represents and counsels publishers and developers in connection with licensing game-related technology and intellectual property rights, software game development and publishing agreements, open-source software use, ingame virtual currency systems, game distribution arrangements, the divestiture and acquisition of game assets, and technology-based strategic partnerships and collaborations. As a Perkins Coie Interactive Entertainment Industry Fellow in 2009, Andrew was dedicated to immersing himself in the issues and needs of interactive entertainment industry participants. During his fellowship, he worked on legal issues related to the use of virtual currencies in online environments, promotions, and digital and traditional distribution of video games.
