Jesse Starkey
Eluna Board TrusteeAt Amazon, Jesse has helped launch and scale two internal startups in leadership roles prior to becoming a Business Operations leader at AWS supporting a multi-billion-dollar motion across the global organization. His work focuses on strategic planning, operational efficiency, partner acceleration, funding program design and delivery, and simplifying complex processes so they can scale worldwide.
Prior to Amazon, Jesse’s foundational experience was built in Management Consulting and Sales Leadership. He left Salesforce to launch a startup where he helped guide the young company through funding rounds, rapid scale, and ultimate acquisition. Having led Sales and Operations from start to finish, he designed the company’s GTM strategy, implemented hyper scale motions, hired/trained/enabled the sales org, and developed the underlying operational foundations that helped lead to our successful exit.
Jesse’s background has given him a versatile skillset including selling, sales strategy, operational rigor, fundraising, channel development, and strategic alignment that he is excited to apply to support Eluna’s long-term vision. Jesse’s connection to Eluna’s mission is deeply personal. Having experienced profound personal loss in early childhood, he understands firsthand how difficult it is for young people to process grief without the right resources. He discovered Camp Erin more than a decade ago, initially volunteering at camp as a Big Buddy where he witnessed the powerful transformation that occurs when children feel understood, supported, and are provided critical tools by trained professionals. He’s continued serving as an ongoing supporter, volunteer, and staunch advocate ever since.
As a husband and father of three young daughters, Jesse feels an acute urgency to help ensure that all children have access to the compassionate support they deserve no matter where they live, what resources they have, or how complex their grief may be. He hopes to utilize his skills to scale his impact and that of the broader organization through board service.
