Behind Every Statistic is a Story

These Numbers Reveal the Growing Crisis for Youth—We Can Help.

Growing Mental Health Crisis

U.S. Surgeon General Sounds Alarm on Youth Mental Health

The U.S. Surgeon General recently declared an urgent need to address the growing youth mental health crisis. Overdose and caregiver deaths have increased dramatically since the pandemic and are compounded by the gun violence epidemic – primarily impacting people of color in our country. Youth affected by grief or addiction who do not receive support are at much greater risk of addiction, poor educational outcomes, anxiety, depression, abuse, poverty, and suicide. Early intervention can result in life-saving changes.
