Team Eluna

Austin Cook
“Running the New York City Marathon is a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and I’m so grateful to be doing it in support of Eluna. Their mission is particularly close to my heart, so I’m proud to take on this challenge for an organization that provides support and community to kids and families navigating some of life’s toughest experiences.”

Christopher McCowan and Brenda Dixon
“This marathon isn’t just about a physical milestone — it’s about making an impact. We’re running for every child who shouldn’t have to face grief or life’s hardest moments alone. With every step, we’re reminded that our strength is multiplied when we support one another.

Danielle Veesaert
“Losing my mom when I was just 6 years old – and, more recently, my dad at 23 – to say I’m proud to be running with Eluna is an understatement. Every mile I run, I’ll be carrying the memory of my parents – and the hope that no child has to navigate loss alone.”

Ebo Dawson-Andoh
“This November, I’m lacing up my running shoes to take on the New York Marathon again, and raising money for a cause that’s close to my heart. I’ve been volunteering with youth and running in Oakland for the past decade and when I found out about Eluna’s mission, I was excited to join the team.”

Mark Stutzmann
“Like so many, addiction has been part of my family’s story. I have seen firsthand how it can shape the lives of children, teens, and families. Eluna’s commitment to supporting children and families impacted by grief or addiction makes this cause especially meaningful to me.”

Michaela McBride
“I’ve volunteered with Camp Erin for 7 summers, and I’m grateful to be running my first marathon for a cause that is so close to my heart. I first became connected to Eluna in 2015, when I attended Camp Erin after my dad, Daniel McBride, passed away. This race is for him; my mom Margaret, who keeps us all together; and my camp fam who continue to show up for the kids that need them most!”

Morgan Connaghan
“For a kid who has felt invisible in their hardest moments, an adult they trust and friends who understand can change the trajectory of their life. So, I’m going to Staten Island’s corrals for a third time to do something hard for myself and for those families who show up for each other on their hardest days.”

Racy Moran
“This is my second time [running the New York Marathon] for Eluna! Addiction has affected my own family, and I’ve witnessed both its struggles and the incredible strength of recovery. I’m deeply passionate about this cause and hope to make a difference.”
