Expanding Access to Grief Support: Eluna’s Impact Featured in Cigna Report

Eluna is honored to be featured in The Cigna Group Foundation’s newly released Improving Youth Mental Health 2025 Impact Report, which highlights the collective impact of nonprofit partners working to support youth mental health, strengthen caregiver support systems, and improve access to emotional well-being resources across the country.

We appreciate all the work you achieved with your grant. Your collaboration has been invaluable… Together, we’ve made a meaningful difference, and this report tells that story.

This recognition reflects not only the work completed at Eluna, but also the dedication of our Camp Erin partners, volunteers, caregivers, and community champions who help grieving children and families feel seen, supported, and less alone.

For every child and family we serve, our goal is to create space for healing and connection,” said Joey Tabasco, Eluna’s Marketing Coordinator, “The Cigna Group Foundation’s partnership has made it possible for us to expand that support even further—equipping caregivers, teachers, and youth-serving professionals with the tools they need to nurture resilience and emotional well-being.”

For more than 50 years, The Cigna Group Foundation has invested in community well-being and access to healthier futures. Last year, Eluna was honored to be selected as one of 28 nonprofit partners advancing youth mental health. Thanks to this meaningful investment, Eluna expanded caregiver support at Camp Erin and developed new online programming for caregivers and youth-serving professionals. In 2025, Eluna is once again awarded grant funding to continue strengthening these offerings—expanding family camp experiences, in-person caregiver workshops, and our ongoing national webinar series.

Together, we are increasing the number of adults who feel prepared to support the grieving children in their lives. This work matters deeply—because when a child is grieving, the presence of a steady, caring adult can make all the difference.

The report shows:
• A 39% increase in pathways to mental health intervention and access to care
• A 36% increase in programming that strengthens social-emotional well-being
• A 25% increase in parents, caregivers, and youth-serving professionals who feel equipped to support the young people in their lives

And through collaborative programming across The Cigna Group Foundation’s partner network:
• 8,576 youth and 8,397 adults participated in mental health literacy programs
• 810 individuals received grief counseling and support
• 1,421 caregivers took part in parental engagement workshops
• Thousands of youth participated in social-emotional learning activities and mentoring

These numbers represent more than services—they represent real families, real conversations, and real progress.

Eluna is deeply grateful for The Cigna Group Foundation’s continued trust and partnership. This collaboration strengthens our mission to support children and families experiencing grief or impacted by substance use. Expanding resources takes time, compassion, and community—and with partners like The Cigna Group Foundation, we are able to reach more families in more places with the care they deserve.
