J. Daniel O’Brien

Mr. O’Brien is a Managing Director at Galatioto Sports Partners, which provides best-in-class advisory, lending, capital raising and other services to clients in the professional sports industry. He has been with GSP since the Firm was founded in February of 2005 and has worked on numerous M&A, financing, advisory, valuation, and dispute resolution assignments across all the major league professional sports leagues. Prior to founding GSP, the members of GSP constituted Lehman Brothers’ Sports Advisory and Finance Group, which is where Mr. O’Brien joined the team in 2004. The group was responsible for all of Lehman Brothers’ corporate finance and advisory functions related to the sports industry. From 1998 to 2002, Mr. O’Brien worked in Lehman Brothers’ Media & Telecommunications and Financial Institutions Investment Banking groups where he focused primarily on Mergers & Acquisitions.

Mr. O’Brien received his MBA from Harvard Business School in 2004 and graduated magna cum laude with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Bucknell University in 1998. He is an active member of his community and in serving charitable organizations, including through his involvement with Harvard Business School Community Partners. Mr. O’Brien resides in Summit, New Jersey with his wife and three children.
