Objective: Mandala is a Sanskrit word for “circle” and is a symbol of unity & wholeness. For centuries, mandalas have been used for visual meditation and creative expression within many cultures. Today, Mandalas are also used as creative tool to explore feelings, facilitate healing, and to recenter within the present moment.

Supplies:

  • Download and print this Mandala.
  • Grab a pack of colored pencils, markers, or crayons.

Instructions:

  • Take three deep, slow breaths
  • Clear your mind
  • Try listening to your breath or listen to these healing tones
  • Observe your thoughts
  • When you find yourself going down a thought path, try returning to the breath, find your center, and observe
  • Pick a new color and start again
  • Repeat

Additional Ideas: If you have access to a projector, you can project this mandala onto a large piece of butcher paper or a whitboard to color collectively with others.
