Students Intern at Camp Mariposa Baltimore
This past semester, three students from Morgan State University interned at Camp Mariposa Baltimore, which opened last year with Outcast Wellness Alliance.
The students helped with activities and mealtime, and each mentored a small group of campers during cabin time. At the end of the internship, they presented about their experience!
On the experience, a student reflected: “Interning at Camp Mariposa has allowed me to develop a sense of appreciation for how resilient children can be. Despite their struggles and apprehensions, they continue to show up to each camp session to grown and learn; it’s truly beautiful.”
Camp Mariposa is Eluna’s addiction prevention and mentoring camp for youth ages 9 – 17 who are affected by the substance use of a family member. Learn more about the program.
